Zeenat Aman sizzles at India Resort Fashion Week in Goa

The 61-year-old veteran actress was the show stopper for Riyaz and Reshma Gangji's collection 'Libas' in which the duo created a design fit for bride groom's mother or aunt.

Yesteryear style icon and actress Zeenat Aman shimmered on the sands in Goa today in a layered skirt and a loose structured jacket at the ongoing India Resort Fashion Week (IRFW) 2012.

The 61-year-old veteran actress was the show stopper for Riyaz and Reshma Gangji's collection 'Libas' in which the duo created a design fit for bride groom's mother or aunt.

Zeenat sizzled at the show wearing a red and pink skirt with the shimmery golden jacket.

"I like clothes that they make even if it is jacket or Indian wear, they take into account that it is comfortable and not inappropriate. It is always nice to work with Riyaz and Reshma," the actress said after walking the ramp at IRFW, which is currently underway at Candolim beach in Goa.

She also said that life has come full circle for her as she had started her career as a model.

When asked to choose the best among the new-age actress, Zeenat said that she personally likes Priyanka Chopra's fashion sense.

"I admire Priyanka's style statement. She is very contemporary and also at the same time, the rock chic inside her comes out," she said.

Designer Riyaz said, "Zeenat Amanji was the hottest heroines of her era. She was the ultimate diva who carried bikini with elegance and panache.

"Zeenatji brings class, elegance and stylishness along with her representing the modern women who is a mother, mother-in-law and a parent figure," he said.

At IRFW, the designer-duo is showcasing an exquisite range of men's and women's wear assortment dedicated to destination weddings, christened as Shimmering Sand.

The creation displayed at IRFW can suit well the elderly segment too who want to look equally stylish, elegant and fashionable, he added.
