'Zeenat Aunt was brilliant in her performance in the Dev Anand-starrer Hare Ram Hare Krishna some 40 years back," said the Bachchan junior, who is in Nagpur to promote the new film.

The original number Dum Maaro Dum, picturised on Zeenat Aman, was brilliant, said Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan in Nagpur on Saturday.

Bachchan is playing a lead role in Rohan Sippy's film, Dum Maaro Dum, which will release on April 22.

"Zeenat Aunt was brilliant in her performance in the Dev Anand-starrer Hare Ram Hare Krishna some 40 years back," said the Bachchan junior, who is here to promote the new film.

"It is a classic", he added.

Flanked by Bipasha Basu and Rohan Sippy, Bachchan said they picked Nagpur for promotion of the film as the city is in the heart of the country, and a world cup match between India and South Africa was a great occasion to launch the title track of the film.

Bachchan said the film was based on drug-abuse, set in Goa.

Sippy denied that there was any controversy over using the words Dum Maaro Dum for film's name. "My grandfather had his first film with Dev Sahab. We had sought rights of lyrics from him and (music company) Sa Re Ga Ma, he added.
