I Don't Luv U
is a futile exercise in using a MMS controversy as a tool to lure the audience into watching a half baked script, some cringe worthy scenes and performances that look like an audition gone bad. Ruslaan plays Yuvaan a college student whose life takes a tumble when he gets involved in a MMS scandal with the girl (Chetna) he loves.

Set in Delhi, the film uses the campus landscapes and local lingo to try and create the right flavor. But it fails because of some badly written characters. At a time when the audience especially the college going crowd is exposed to Western TV shows, films and know what's 'cool' and what is 'wannabe', the writers do a shoddy job of attempting to representing the generation Z. Yuvaan's friends are stereotyped so brutally that you can't help but laugh at the effort.

There's the mandatory Sardar, the geek who's heart broken and the casanova who analyses the curves and physique of every girl on the block.

Despite the idea of using something as real and relevant as a MMS leak, the director fails to either tackle the issue at hand or even create any interest. The second half and the climax is full of prudish statements and ridiculous arguments. Performances are strictly
average. Ruslaan is sincere and honest in his effort, especially towards the end where he owns up to his deed and confronts his love.

But he like the rest of the cast is marred by some really bad writing and direction. Chetna Pande looks pretty, but fails to emote in dramatic scenes.

I Don't Luv U might have the taken up a relevant topic, but its treatment and execution falls flat.
