A libidinous sous chef, Vir, from Haryana, who chases anything in a skirt, pants, sari or salwar, is the subject of this overcooked khichdi. But it is hard to imagine what he sees in most of the seven ladies he encounters —  a model, an call centre executive, a bookshop owner, a married Punjabi housewife, a pubescent school girl, even his maid. And then there is his best buddy, a colleague at the hotel, the girl-next-door Sandhya (Sada) referred to as ghar ki dal.

While Vir objectifies women, his boss and guru (Saurabh Shukla) gives him gyan on romance and love. Vir seems to be what women want, at least in his mind, until he gets a taste of his own medicine. It might sound like the film has the ingredients for an enjoyable rom-com, the director takes too long to get to a point which has been established from scene 2 - that love is usually right under your nose and best friends make the best life partners.

The women depicted are largely stereotypes, and the content often sexist. Besides Sengupta and Sonali Kulkarni, none of the performances elevate the characters. Sada fails to win the audience over.

As for Hooda, he comfortably occupies the character but a little less emphasis on hair, sunglasses and make-up, and perhaps a better choice of scripts might help.
