Film: Five Idiots (Kannada)
Director: Master Anand
Cast: Vasu, Naveen Krishna, Master Anand, Petrol Prasanna, Namrata and Harshika Poonacha

This movie marks the directorial debut of Master Anand, the actor who shot to fame two decades back when he acted in Gowri Ganesh as a child artiste. Today, Anand is known as a fun entertainer on television. The actor puts together a cast of reasonably popular faces for a situational comedy. Unfortunately, the film looks more like an extended television serial, rather than a film.

The story has umpteen number of spoofs on popular films, film stars and you can see that the debutant director has tried his best in ensuring that he tries to make people laugh in every scene.

Unfortunately, most of the humour is over-the-top and doesn’t click always. The film, which revolves around five youngsters — Vasu, Naveen Krishna, Master Anand, Petrol Prasanna and Namrata — hatching a kidnap plan for quick money, a take on many gangster flicks like Kaante and Plan. The story then revolves around a series of misadventures that happen in one house.
