Film: Santa Banta Pvt Ltd
Director: Akashdeep

What's it about
Best buds and total duds Santeshwar (Irani) and Banteshwar (Das) get mistaken for RAW agents of the same name and are sent to Fiji to find out who has kidnapped Shankar, the Indian High Commissioner there. Agent Arvind (Vijay Raaz) gives up on finding the real spies and passes them off as the real deal. Except, this duo is anything but spy material.
The two reach Fiji and begin their search, with the help of Shankar's wife Kareena (Dhupia) and Fiji's RAW agents Cutie (Haydon) and Akbar (Sanjay Mishra). Despite being imposters, do they find Shankar at all?
.
What's hot
The fact that Boman and Vir agreed to work in this film. Hats off to whoever convinced them to act in it.
What's not
The fact that I watched this film expecting at least a few guffaws. There are none to be had. Akashdeep has a sturdy cast at his disposal and he squanders the opportunity to make it work to his benefit. Lever as the Nepali don is about the worst thing you're going to see this year. The plot doesn't have loopholes, it has black holes that suck your sanity in. And what forgettable songs! Who thought it was a good idea to make this film?
What's to do
There's a reason this review is this short. This is strictly avoidable fare!
