In an important update for PUBG Mobile India fans, the battle royale game developer is introducing one of Call of Duty: Warzone's biggest features. This will enable players to return to battle after dying during a match for a second chance at that chicken dinner.
This feature was announced as part of PUBG's Update 12.2 patch notes and is known as Comeback BR. It will initially be exclusive to PUBG's latest 8x8 map known as Taego.
How does the Comeback BR feature work?
The mechanic is only usable by those who die during the first Blue Zone phase in any given Squad match on Taego. Once players are dead, they will find themselves in a Comeback Arena - which sounds like a variation of Warzone's Gulag - and they will have to survive long enough to be transported to the Taego mainland by helicopter in phase 3.
The Comeback Arena is separate from the main fight and, instead of competing for 1v1 against another player, all those who died during the Blue Zone phase will enter this mini-match of PUBG. They will still need to find loot and items to stay alive and be brought back without killing anyone.
Also, there are no bots of knockdowns in Comeback BR. You will return with all your items and gear, but your health and boost levels will be reset if you survive.
Your kills and stats will still be recorded.
Lastly, at least one Squad member must be alive in the main fight for a teammate to come back.
According to in.ign, the Comeback Arena isn't the only way players can earn a second chance on Taego, however, as the Self AED will also allow players to stay in the fight. This world-loot item allows for self-revival when DBNO, without the need of a teammate. This is available in Solo and Squad matches.
PUBG Update 12.2 also brings new weapons such as the K2 5.56mm caliber AR and the MK12 5.56mm caliber DMR, and a new vehicle in the Pony Coupe.
