Ant-Man and the Wasp takeover Taipei

Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly kicked off the promotions of their forthcoming movie Ant-Man and the Wasp amidst a lot of fanfare in Taipei, Taiwan. Apart from local and international media, a bunch of superfans also got a chance to be present for the much-anticipated event. From his absence in Avengers: Infinity War to learning magic for this one, Paul fielded many questions.

Evangeline, who gets to suit up this time around said, “I believe my suit is the most comfortable one in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)” But she did face one problem. “The only bummer was that I like eating in large quantities, but I couldn’t do that (because the suit fit so well). So, I had to eat in small quantities.”   

Unlike the Wasp, Ant-Man doesn’t get to fly. Paul said, “If I had wings, it would be pointless. We decided to go back to the comics. Also, in the movie Hank (Pym) is enjoying the fact that I am annoyed that he did not give me this technology though he already had it.”

Post, the interaction with media, the two were presented with miniature versions of their superhero characters made in pulled sugar. They also unveiled another such creation representating the iconic Taipei 101 structure with Ant-Man and the Wasp hanging by its sides.

MAKING A SPLASH ON THE RED CARPET IN TAIWAN

The red carpet do held the following day, gave fans an opportunity to meet Ant-Man and the Wasp — Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly — up, close and personal. Evangeline looked stunning in a green gown, while Paul was at his dapper best in a formal suit. The two actors spent more than an hour signing autographs and posing with fans, who were waiting for many hours. Some locals even dressed up as other Marvel superheroes. Both, Paul and Evangeline, looked mighty pleased to meet the MCU men in Taipei. Speaking about their time in Taipei and the food they tried, Evangeline narrated her experience of trying around 13 flavours of ice-cream, while Paul raved about the mangoes he tasted.
