Riding on the worldwide success of Captain Marvel, Marvel Studios unveiled the latest trailer for Avengers: Endgame on Thursday. The new footage sheds light on what's next for the Earth's mightiest, but the biggest USP of the 2.26 minutes-long video is the nostalgia of the last decade.
Taking back to the beginning of Marvel Cinematic Universe with the first Iron Man movie, the trailer traces the journey of Original Avengers, minus Bruce Banner. The glimpses of previous instalments from the respective franchise culminate into the path that lies ahead for each of these superheroes.
Iron Man aka Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) recalls the day he made his way out of that cave. Over the montage, we are listening to his message to Pepper Potts. There's hope in his voice. His journey is followed by that of Captain America's aka Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). We hear Agent Peggy Carter's advice echo in his ears, asking him to start over. This is when we see Hawkeye aka Agent Clint Barton's (Jeremy Renner) life as two sides of a coin. One as a loving father, the other as Ronin. There is one constant and that is his friend Black Widow aka Natasha Romanov (Scarlett Johansson). Nothing is different for the God of Thunder as well. He lost his family and his people.
"I keep telling everybody they should move on," says Steve Rogers. "Some do, but not us."
"Even if there's a small chance, we owe this to everyone who is not in this room to try," come Natasha's words.
"We will. Whatever it takes," says Steve.
There comes the battle cry!
What follows is the most reassuring scene in which we see Iron Man and Nebula walk, superhero style, with the Avengers crew!

Adding Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) into the trailer is the smart move. I am not entirely sold on getting a stamp of approval from Thor, though.
