Marvel dropped the teaser of Captain America: Brave New World and MCU fans are having mixed feelings about the upcoming film. The new Marvel adventure is the fourth standalone film in the Captain America franchise.
After Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) gave up his shield to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) in Avengers Endgame (2019), the latter became the new Captain America. However, Falcon may become the new Captain America, but he's not Steve Rogers. That's what Thaddeus Ross reminds Sam of. Captain America 4 will be the first film where Willaim Hurt won't be seen playing Thaddeus Ross. Harrison Ford replaced him after his demise on March 13, 2022.
.
Just like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the upcoming movie is much more in the genre of an espionage thriller and not an out-an-out superhero adventure. In the new chapter, Sam has to protect Ross and the world from hidden enemies. By the end of the teaser fans also spot Red Hulk, leaving them thrilled for what's being stored in the film.
As soon as the teaser dropped, several MCU paid homage to Willaim Hurt. A fan wrote, "RIP William Hurt, Thaddeus Ross is simply not the same without you! Truly one of the OG originals of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!" A few fans did miss Chris as the OG Captain America. A fan wrote, "Get this dude some super soldier serum." A netizen wrote, "With the white house and President, he feels like Captain America: Falcon has fallen." Captain America: Brave New World will be released in cinemas on February 14, 2025.
