This week witnesses two major releases - John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda and Urvashi Rautela starrer Pagalpanti, and Frozen 2, which has been dubbed in most languages across India. While a lot was expected from Pagalpanti and it failed to perform, Frozen 2 outperformed.
Frozen 2 could be considered as one of those animated movies which had the best start in India. Frozen, which released in 2013, had minted Rs. 2.90 crore. Frozen 2 has beat those numbers on its first day itself. The latest animated movie earned Rs. 3.50 crore at the Box Office on its opening day.
In contrast to Pagalpanti which picked up in the evening, Frozen 2 had best footfalls early in the morning. Considering the footfalls, it was assumed that the movie would mint Rs. 4 crore on its opening day, but the evening business was not as great as John and Anil's film.
Being a movie made for kids and dubbed in various languages for kids to watch all across, the Box Office ahead looks bright for Frozen 2. The movie is expected to earn well over the weekend, especially on Sunday, which is when families go for an outing.
