American actor and Oscar winner Joaquin Phoenix and his partner Rooney Mara are expecting their first child together. According to a source, the notoriously private couple has been keeping a low profile and has been quarantining at their home in Los Angeles.
The source also said that Rooney, who was recently spotted sporting baggy clothes was covering a baby bump, maybe as far as six months along in her pregnancy, Page Six reported. However, representatives of the 35-year-old actor Rooney, and the 45-year-old Oscar winner Joaquin, have refused to respond to numerous requests for comment.
For the uninformed, the lovely couple first met on the sets of Spike Jonze's film Her bu they did not begin seeing each other until they reunited on the set of the film Mary Magdalene. In the film, Joaquin played the role of Jesus and she starred as Mary Magdalene in the 2018 movie. They moved in together to a home in the Hollywood Hills.
The Gladiator star Joaquin admitted to Vanity Fair in October 2019 that he was initially convinced that Rooney "despised" him. Eventually, he realised that she was interested in him but was too shy to express it. He had said, "She’s the only girl I ever looked up on the internet. We were just friends, email friends. I’d never done that. Never looked up a girl online."
Mara became engaged to Joaquin in July 2019. Rumors of their potential engagement had swirled for months when Rooney was spotted numerous times wearing an engagement ring.
