Chris Hemsworth celebrated his 35th birthday on Saturday and one of the most popular Chrises of the Hollywood was showered with love and wishes by his peers.
One clear trend emerged that everyone wanted to sing for Hemsworth.
It started with a beautiful, freestyle tune by singer Leon Bridges. Hemsworth's Thor: Ragnarok co-star asked for a favour of Bridges and got him to sing happy birthday for the Australian hunk. Father of three, shared that clip on his Instagram account which has garnered more than 900,000 likes on the social medioa platform.
Bridges' breezy wish prompted Josh Brolin, aka Thanos from Avengers: Infinity War, to exercise his vocal chords.
Josh Brolin also took to his Instagram account to post a video of singing his version of the happy birthday. For some reason, all these health conscious people wanted Hemsworth to enjoy his cake. Such cake-deprived community!
Brolin admitted that his song is nowhere close to the standard set by Bridges. Yet he could not help but sing from the depths of his trachea.
We love Bridges' soft voice, we couldn't stop laughing at the Brolin special, but the crown of best musical birthday wish will have to go to Dwayne Johnson.
Dwayne Johnson and Chris Hemsworth locked horns (jokingly )over singing since The Rock's Jumanji: Welcome to Jungle co-star got into a mock feud over Thor: Ragnarok using Led Zepplin's 'Immigrant' song. The song, not used a lot in the movie, was first allowed to be made a part of Jack Black's movie School of Rock. The hilarious feud seemed to have died down after the promotions for Ragnarok and Jumanji ended.
But, Dwayne Johnson's lyrics for the birthday wish for the star of Men In Black spin-off show that not a lot has changed when it comes to a battle of jams!
Johnson's lyrics go as follows -
Happy Birthday to Thor
You Australian man whore
You're the greatest Chris, and that's a fact
Behind Evans, Pine and Pratt.
The zing only got stronger when the Jungle Cruise star posted the video with a brilliant caption.
'Happy Birthday @chrishemsworth you handsome alien looking SOB! Many people in this world are so grateful you were born - I am not one of them," wrote Johnson.
Hemsworth is in London shooting for the Men In Black spin-off. He is also in talks to join Star Trek 4. His mystery thriller Bad Times at the El Royale is set to hit the theatres on October 12. This Thor will pick up his Stormbreaker when next year Avengers 4 will finish what they started with Avengers: Infinity War.
