If you ask an average reader, skimming through a newspaper in the morning rush competes with a host of demanding activities. A cursory look at the headlines, and, if time permits, only the first few lines of the report that stokes curiosity. There is always the web and television for those who wish to keep themselves informed. Then why should one subscribe to DNA? Because, this spanking new newspaper will change the rules of the game. It will only pack in information that is important to readers, instead of bombarding them with news. Spread over 32 pages featuring news and views on topics as diverse as faith, sexuality, environment, health, entertainment and sports, the longest item on any given page will rarely exceed 600 words. Long, winding reports in sleep-inducing prose can be frustrating even for a news junkie. DNA's language will be shorn of affectations and free of cliches.
