Manali covered in blanket of snow, watch mesmerising pics

Manali, one of the most favoured tourist destination in the hill state of North India witnessed a good amount of snowfall on Monday, November 16.

The peak of winter is yet to approach but upper reaches of the hills in North India along with popular tourist destinations have begun to observe snowfall activity.

Manali, one of the most favoured tourist destination in the hill state of North India witnessed a good amount of snowfall on Monday, November 16. The snowfall in the valley has certainly raised hopes amongst the business community of tourism picking up pace. It is also beneficial for the farmers of the region as it helps in the sowing of Rabi crops 

A couple of days back, Gulmarg and Sonamarg in Jammu and Kashmir were also a witness to this beautiful treat.

The roads of Manali are currently covered with snow and the local residents are finding it difficult to venture out and carry day to day activities. But it is a boon for the tourism industry of Himachal Pradesh.

Tourists are ecstatic to see snowfall in Manali. Many come to visit the valley during winters in the hope of witnessing this beautiful view. The temperatures have also dropped but it does not seem to bother them.

Due to COVID-19, the number of tourists visiting Manali is comparatively low. But those who visited Manali and got a glimpse of snowfall say they are happy to have come here and hope tourism will soon gather steam.

Snowfall in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh including Manali has pulled down both the day and night temperatures by a few notches. Cold wave-like condition has been prevailing in Kullu-Manali.

High-altitude areas of Chamba, Mandi, Kullu and Kinnaur districts of Himachal Pradesh have also been experiencing snow since Sunday. The activity in the region is likely to continue for another 24 hours.
