Lakhs of devotees took holy dip in the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati today on 'Basant Panchmi'.
A heavy influx of devotees was witnessed since early morning as the city woke up to bright sunshine and clear sky after over a week of foggy and chilly weather conditions.
By evening, nearly 12 lakh people had taken dip in the Sangam, officials said. Various programmes were also organised near the Sangam, where a month-long Magh Mela, a religious congregation, is underway.
