13 Naxal sympathisers held near Lalgarh in West Bengal

The 13 arrested have been charged with sedition and trying to wage war against the state. They have been sent to 14 day judicial custody.

Among those arrested, three are journalists and activists.

On Tuesday, security forces had detained around 70 people from Kolkata trying to enter the forests of Pirakata.

Nisha Biswas, scientist of Central Ceramic and Glass Research Centre, Kanishka Choudhury, professor of Behala college and author Manik Mondal were among the 13 arrested.
