About 22,865 students aspiring for a post-graduate in business administration and computer application will appear for Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) on Thursday.
Conducted by Gujarat Technological University (GTU), the exam will be held in two phases – starting Thursday and ending on June 18.
According to GTU officials, about 23,033 forms were sold for the entrance exam, out of which 22,865 students have registered online. The test will be conducted at 23 centres in Gujarat.
“We are fully prepared to conduct the examination. A successful mock round was also conducted for checking preparations. The varsity has informed police officials about sensitive centres and also requested different electricity companies to maintain energy supply during the exam,” said a senior official.
Of the total registered students, only 183 students have opted to appear for one exam – MBA or MCA. The rest have chosen to appear for both the tests. As per data available with GTU, there are 13,185 MBA seats and 6,670 seats MCA seats in institutes across Gujarat.
