Acceding the plea by the 2G scam accused for the transcripts of corporate lobbyist Niira Radia's telephonic talks, the Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday promised a Delhi court to hand it to them on July 12.

Acceding the plea by the 2G scam accused for the transcripts of corporate lobbyist Niira Radia's telephonic talks, the Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday promised a Delhi court to hand it to them on July 12.

Special Judge O P Saini has decided to install an electronic scanner in the court premises for scanning prosecution documents and distributing copies among the accused.

ASJ Saini let a defence counsel Vijay Aggarwal instal the scanner to expedite the scrutiny of documents so that arguments on framing of charges could begin from July 15.

CBI prosecutor A K Singh told the court, "We will supply Niira Radia's tapes to the accused on July 12."

He said the agency would also supply some additional documents on that day.

Several accused yesterday told the court that the probe agency was not providing them the transcripts, despite these having been used as a key prosecution document.

The accused said the CBI made Radia a key witness and she has repeatedly referred to her tapped telephonic conversations in the statement.
