Three persons, including a five-year-old girl, were killed and five others injured when a car hit them in Jharkhand's Khunti district today.
Chando Khatoon (60 yrs), her grand-daughter Meher (5) and others were waiting for bus at Tirla stop when a car swerved to the right and knocked them down killing Khatoon on the spot, police said.
All the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital, where Khatoon’s grand-daughter and another villager identified as Hemant succumbed.
The driver of the car and two of its occupants, and two by-standers were injured.
