Around 60 students, two each from every state and Union Territory, have won the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch the landing of Indian rover Chandrayaan-2 on the south pole of the moon — in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Four of those students, from Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh are among those 282 who participated in the online quiz for Chandrayaan 2 that afforded them the privilege.
Shreenjal Chandrakar, a Class 9 girl studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya of Mahasamund, Chattisgarh emerged as the state winner in the quiz and has now been invited to watch the landing from ISRO's headquarters at Bengaluru on September 7. "PM Modi is a superhero and I am overjoyed at the prospect of me sitting with him to watch India's achievement in outer space," said Chandrakar. Along with Chandrakar, her entire family has been invited to ISRO.
The representative from Uttar Pradesh will be Rashi Verma, a Class 10 student from Delhi Public School of Janakipuram, Lucknow. Verma has been very happy and excited about her selection, "Our principal had told me about the competition. After this, I studied space science for four days," said Verma. She added, "If I get the chance, I will ask PM Modi about his time management." She wants to serve the country by becoming an IAS officer.

Another student from Madhya Pradesh come up trumps is Nancy Gupta. Studying at Porsa, Morena, Gupta has been one of the two students from her state selected for the event. "I am happy as well as excited about the event. I wanted to become a scientist from a very early age and I have a special inclination towards it," said Gupta.
A boy from Odisha has also made it to the event. Chinmay Chaudhary, a class 8 student from DAV Public School from Jharsuguda has been selected to witness the historic moment. This makes their family members and teachers very happy about his achievement.
