6th batch of 3,094 pilgrims leave for Amarnath from Jammu

The batch, comprising 2,106 men ,738 women, 111 children and 139 sadhus, had already crossed Udhampur by 11am and were expected to reach Pahalgam and Baltal camp by the evening.

The 6th batch of 3,094 pilgrims today left here for their onward journey to the cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir.
 
The batch left from the base camp of Bhagwati Nagar in a fleet of 118 vehicles amid security at 8am, officials said here.
