79 more test positive; dengue cases reach 3,782 in Delhi

South Delhi continued to be the worst-affected this season with 499 cases, followed by Civil Lines (480), Rohini (445) and Central Zone (403).

The dengue menace continued in Delhi with the number of patients affected by the vector-borne disease reaching 3,782 today.
 
The city has reported seven dengue deaths this season.
 
A total of 79 fresh cases have been recorded today. For most of the last 10 days, the city had been reporting over 90 cases in a day.
 
South Delhi continued to be the worst-affected this season with 499 cases, followed by Civil Lines (480), Rohini (445) and Central Zone (403).
 
The MCD said its workers have so far found mosquito breeding in 94,560 premises, issued legal notices to 76,255 people and prosecuted 14,729 of them.
 
The civic bodies are attributing the rapid increase in dengue cases this season to prolonged monsoon.
 
Delhi has also reported 112 cases of malaria and 20 of chikungunya this season.
