At a time when Congress is facing all-round opposition attack on a variety of issues, it has brought back noted lawyer Abhishek Singhvi as one of its spokespersons.Singhvi, who briefed the media today, was reinstated as party spokesperson after a gap of over one and a half months. He was barred from holding briefings in the wake of a controversy over his appearance in a Kerala lottery case. The appearance of Singhvi, an eminent lawyer, in the high court in the lottery case had raised a storm in the Kerala unit of Congress which had launched a campaign against promoters of lotteries from outside the state. The Congress leader refused to answer questions on why he was not holding media briefings so far."Why don't you ask the media department chairman. The best way to check it is with him. I have nothing to say," Singhvi said.
