Legion hacks journalist Ravish Kumar's Twitter account. This is the fifth high profile hacking incident by the group reported in recent days.

Hours after hacking NDTV Consulting Editor Barkha Dutt's Twitter account, a group called ‘Legion’ hacked senior journalist Ravish Kumar’s official Twitter handle

“We use twitter as a means to reach the public. We don’t just hack twitter accounts. Go through the data and find out,” the hackers said in a series of tweets posted from Ravish's account.

Though the tweets from the handle are now deleted, the hacking group has warned that their next action will be against former IPL chairman Lalit K Modi. “Coming up next -@LalitKModi leaks. Stay tuned.”

"Email, Twitter accounts of senior NDTV journalists have been hacked. Attempts are being made to use emails out of context. We are asking relevant authorities, including courts, to take strong action," said NDTV in a statement posted on its website.

The same group had claimed to have hacked businessman Vijay Mallya's Twitter and email accounts and also posted some of his personal and financial details, including passwords, addresses and phone number.

Earlier on November 30, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi's Twitter account was hacked and some remarks full of expletives were posted.

Delhi police has said that the Twitter accounts of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress were operated from five countries— Sweden, Romania, the US, Canada and Thailand.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), which is probing the matter, received a reply a few days ago from Twitter headquarters on the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses used by the hackers to send derogatory tweets from these accounts, a senior police officer said.
