After breaking 'Noida jinx', Yogi Adityanath to inaugurate National Youth Festival

Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath will address the NYF participants

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also address the young participants through video conferencing at 12 pm. The four-day annual event will be held from January 12-15.

Just nineteen days after breaking the famous "Noida Jinx", Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is all set to visit the Gautam Budh Nagar district for the third time, this time to inaugurate the 22nd National Youth Festival (NYF). The festival will be held at Gautam Budha University in Greater Noida on Friday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also address the young participants through video conferencing at 12 pm. The four-day annual event will be held from January 12-15.

Yogi, who was expected to be busy with the Gorakhpur Mahotsav, which will also begin on Friday, confirmed his arrival for the inauguration to the district administration on Thursday.

According to the sources, the UP CM will reach the university around 11:30 am in a helicopter using the helipad inside the university campus. He will address the youth and leave the university at around 1 pm.

Maj Gen Dilawar Singh (Retd), Director General, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan said that all the preparation for the CM's visit has been done.

"More than 6,000 participants from all the states of the country will participate in the festival. The theme of the event is 'Sankalp Se Siddhi'. This is the first time when an equal number boys and girls are participating in the event. The entire event appears to have been designed with a flavour of the PM's pet 'Start-up India'campaign announced in August 2015," Singh added.

The National Youth Festival in India is an annual gathering of the youth with various competitive activities involved. Celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of youth icon, Swami Vivekananda, the NYF is organised by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, in collaboration with one of the state governments every year.

On December 23, 2017, Yogi Adityanath broke the famous'Noida Jinx'and had first visited the district to check all the security and other arrangements for PM's visit. On December 25, Yogi again came for the second time to take part in the inauguration of Metro's Magenta Line.
