UK’s international organisation for education and cultural relations, The British Council, is organising one-stop exhibitions for those who aspire to study in the UK.
Titled ‘Education UK Exhibitions’, the trade fair will travel to six cities in the country beginning from New Delhi to Kolkata, Mumbai, Kochi, Coimbatore and Ahmedabad. The fair will be held in the city on November 19, from 1 pm to 8 pm at Pride Hotel.
At the exhibition, students and parents will have the opportunity to speak to representatives from 37 UK institutions at their respective stalls. Special seminars have also been arranged to help understand admission procedure and requirements to study in the UK.
The exhibition will cater mainly to undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the UK. Diploma courses will also get the right exposure. Information on MBA, IT and engineering courses and IELTS will be available.
British Council will also set up a separate kiosk at the fair for information pertaining to student visas. Officers from British deputy high commission, Mumbai will address queries on student visa regulation and policies.
Students of Indian origin form a major chunk of international students to UK. Scholars mostly opt for one-year master’s programmes and three-year undergraduate courses (except in Scotland).
