Air Pollution worst in Uttar Pradesh; 3 among 5 most polluted cities in the country from UP

With the onset of winter, the amount of poisonous particles in the air is also increasing. Three cities from Uttar Pradesh are amongst the five most polluted cities in the country. Among them, the condition of Taj City Agra is the worst. An AQI of 458 was registered in the city. The Carbon monoxide amount in the air was also recorded 50 times more. The number of dust particles remained around 500 on Sunday from morning till night. The reason for high pollution levels is believed to be the excavation of 450 km of roads in the city and the absence of dust control measures.

 
Ghaziabad and Greater Noida also in red zones

After Agra, Ghaziabad was the second most polluted city in the country. An AQI of 456 was registered here while Greater Noida recorded an AQI level of 440. The AQI of the capital Lucknow also remained above the red mark for the third consecutive day. The AQI here settled at 392. Normal breathing in such heavily polluted air becomes difficult. A thick sheet of mist is seen everywhere, causing irritation to the eyes and difficulty in breathing.

Main reason is stubble burning

Burning stubble is considered to be an important reason behind pollution in UP, including Delhi-NCR. It is being told that 29 percent of air pollution is due to the burning of stubble. People are facing respiratory problems due to these contaminated particles in the air. Along with this, people are also feeling irritation in their eyes due to pollution.

How can you be safe from this pollution? 

Doctors advise that the elderly, children and respiratory patients should stay indoors as much as possible. If you are going out of the house on a bike, then use glasses. Also, do not leave without a mask. Experts believe that if this is not controlled, then the situation can go from bad to worse after Diwali.
