However, the company has stated that the government of Inda has still not delivered the spectrum to completely transform to the 5G network.

Bharti Airtel has become the first such company in the country to have the facility of 5G network and has also conducted live testing of its new technology. The company recently upgraded its network to 5G mode within Hyderabad and provided 5G speed facility to its customers.

Actually, the company has upgraded its network and towers in such a way that internet can be accessed on 4G as well as 5G technology. It is to be noted that the 5G facility is still in the trial phase.

A statement issued by Airtel company said that the company has upgraded 4G technology as well as 5G technology on the 1800MHz band. These small changes have allowed the company to provide a network facility in 5G mode.

However, the company has stated that the government of Inda has still not delivered the spectrum to completely transform to the 5G network. For that purpose, Airtel is still awaiting the government's approval.

"We do not yet have spectrum nor the Government of India has taken any final decision in this direction. Therefore, after making spectrum available by the Government of India, we will completely convert to 5G network," Bharti Airtel MD and CEO Gopal Vittal said.

Reportedly, in 5G mode, Airtel users will get 10 times more speed than the 4G network. The company is eager to start the 5G service for all its customers.

"Our engineers have worked hard day and night to show that we have the ability to provide 5G technology-based service. We have always been at the forefront of providing convenience to customers. He said that we are confident that India can emerge as a global hub in 5G technology," Vittal said.

Meanwhile, Reliance Industries Limited Chairman & Managing Director Mukesh Ambani on December 8 confirmed that its telecommunications company Jio will roll out 5G network in the country in the second half of 2021.

He also emphasized that the 5G network will be powered by indigenous network, hardware, and technology components.

'Jio's 5G service will be a testimony to your (PM Modi) inspiring vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat,' he said.
