Akhilesh Yadav turns 46 in London, party celebrates birthday in Uttar Pradesh

Even as Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is enjoying summer vacations in London along with his family, his 46th birthday was celebrated in style by party leaders and workers in Lucknow and elsewhere.

A 46-kgs laddoo cake in party red and green colours was offered to a photograph of the SP Chief, who was born on July 1, 1973 in Safai, Etawah and was cut by party vice-presdent Kiranmoy Nanda.

Party leaders also distributed fruits to patients in city hospitals and organised a bhandara to offer free food to poor families. "We also organised prayers and held a havan for our young leader's long life and return to the power," said Sunil Sajan, SP Spokesperson.

Yadav is on summer vacation to London with his wife Dimple Yadav and three kids. Though he kept his visit a secret, but one of his well-wishers posted the family enjoying a boat ride on the social media. Yadav is believed to own a house in London also.

Party sources confided that the SP Chief celebrated his birthday in London along with his family. He is likely to return on July 4.

A fitness freak, Yadav loves to ride bicycle. Recently, he was caught in a bungalow damage row when the BJP government had accused him of leaving his 4-Vikramditya Marg residence in shambles before vacating it on the orders if the Supreme Court.

A Sainik School pass-out and Engineering Graduate from Australia, Yadav was forced to enter into politics by his father Mulayam Singh Yadav when he contested Lok Sabha by-polls from Kannauj in 2000 sooafter his love marriage with Dimple in 1999.

He represented the Kannauj seat thrice and vacated it in 2012 when he became the youngest Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh at the age of 38 years. His wife Dimple Yadav was elected unopposed from his Kannauj seat. Yadav has announced to contest Lok Sabha polls again in 2009 from Kannauj.
