Global terror outfit al Qaeda is planning to target aeroplanes of a private Indian airline, an alert sent by the central intelligence agencies earlier but revealed today claimed.

The alert, sources said, had originated from Yemen where in an al Qaeda magazine Sada al-Malahim the details of possible target were published first, sources said.

“Based on the intelligence inputs the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security on August 8 had issued a warning to all the international airports and CISF following which the security of all Indian airlines planes was beefed up.”
