LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh owns immovable property worth over Rs 16 crore and has stakes worth over Rs 17 crore in shares, cash deposits and other assets.
This was disclosed by the SP leader while filing nomination papers for a Rajya Sabha seat from Uttar Pradesh.
He has no loan against his name but Rs 11.93 lakh due as income tax, according to his wealth declaration.
Singh's wife, Pankaja Kumari, owns jewellery worth Rs 3.22 crore and shares worth Rs 8 crore, besides some property in Kolkata
His immovable assets include a Mehrauli property (Rs 5 crore), non agricultural land in sector 44, Noida (Rs 1.75 crore), property in Greater Kailash, New Delhi (Rs 1 crore), property at Gandhi road, Bangalore (Rs 6 crore), Gomti Nagar, Lucknow (Rs 2. 80 crore) and property worth 94 lakh in his native village Tarva.
Singh has Rs eight lakh in cash, deposits in banking and financial institutions of a little less than two crores and those in non banking institutions Rs 1.50 crore.
His investments in bonds, debentures amount to Rs 8.50 crore, PPF over Rs seven lakh and LIC Rs. 2.25 lakh and mutual funds, furniture watches and paintings account for Rs 5.43 crore.
He has 408 gms gold and 28 kg silver worth a little less than 10 lakh and two cars including a 1999 model land cruiser and Swift car (2005 model) worth less than Rs five lakh.
