The matter was mentioned before the court on Friday and will be heard on Monday by a Division bench comprising Justice FM Reis and Justice Nutan Sardessai.

Adv Aires Rodrigues has made the Secretary of Ministry of Civil Aviation, Chief Secretary of Goa Director General of Police, the Airport Director and the Deputy Commandant of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at the Airport parties to the petition.

In his petition filed, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, Adv Rodrigues has sought directions to ensure that the rule of law is upheld by holding an inquiry for fixing responsibility and taking action in accordance with law against organisers and those responsible for the public meeting held within the precincts of Dabolim Airport on July 1, 2017 in total violation of the law.

Drawing the court's attention to July 2, he had addressed a joint complaint to the Secretary of Ministry of Civil Aviation, Chief Secretary of Goa and the Director General of Police demanding an immediate inquiry.

Adv. Rodrigues has stated that as the authorities were acting as caged parrots and taking no action, he was constrained to seek the intervention of the High Court.

Adv Rodrigues in his petition has also submitted that the law enforcement authorities ought to have registered an FIR against the organisers of that illegal public meeting against Amit Shah and all the other dignitaries present.
