Megastar Amitabh Bachchan today described ailing Marxist patriarch Jyoti Basu as 'a very powerful person' and wished him quick recovery.
The Big B, now in the city, told a TV channel that he had known Basu and met him several times, including in Mumbai.
"He is a very powerful person. A very hardworking person," he said.
Bachchan said it was sad that Basu was suffering. "I pray that everything is okay."
