Andhra Pradesh CM reviews security measures after Delhi blast

A press release from Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's office said the chief minister condemned the Delhi blast.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy reviewed the security measures in the state and directed Chief Secretary SV Prasad and top police officials to step up the vigilance, in the wake of the bomb blast at the Delhi High Court today.

A press release from the chief minister's office said the chief minister condemned the Delhi blast.

"By targeting innocent people the perpetrators want to create panic among the people. Such heinous crimes should be condemned by everyone," the chief minister said.

Statement said he spoke to the chief secretary and directed that security measures in Hyderabad and other sensitive places of the state be stepped up. He also wanted the police to be on a high alert in view of the Ganesh immersion programme.
