The Bajrang Dal has announced to give a reward of Rs 5 lakh to anyone beheading former cricketer and Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for his ‘hugplomacy’ and participation in the oath-taking ceremony of new Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In a video message, which went viral in social media, the Bajrang Dal Agra District President Sanjay Jaat has put up a reward of Rs 5 lakh to anyone who beheads Sidhu. The former cricketer and TV personality is drawing flak from all corners including Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh for visiting Pakistan and hugging the Pak Army Chief.
In the viral video, the Bajrang Dal leader is showing a cheque of Rs 5 lakh and making announcement that he will give it to anyone who slashes Sidhu’s head and bring it to him.
“He is a traitor and his act is unpardonable. Treason charges should be slapped against him. Sidhu seems to have forgotten teachings of Sikh Guru Govind Singh. How can he hug Army Chief of enemy nation who is responsible for killings of our soldiers?” questioned the Bajrang Dal leader.
The Bajrang Dal leader went on to say that entire nation was seething with anger to teach Sidhu a lesson for going to Pakistan and hugging its Army Chief. “It has hurt the sentiments of the families of those whose sons laid their lives to defend the borders. People will never forgive Sidhu for his traitor-like act,” said the leader.
Announcing to ban Sidhu’s entry into Taj nagari, he said that people will welcome him with shoes if he ever tried to visit Agra. The Bajrang Dal has demanded to terminate Sidhu’s membership from the Punjab Legislature and slap treason charges against him.
