A retired official of the Board of Revenue, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad was caught red-handed by officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) when he demanded a bribe of Rs3,25,000 and accepted Rs 1,00,000 from the complainant today.

An ACB release said that the retired officer I Krishna Murthy demanded bribe stating that there are petitions against the complainant and other officers with the bureau and that he will get the petitions closed by using his influence on the DG of ACB.

The bribe of Rs1,00,000 was recovered from the possession of the accused, Krishna Murthy, arrested and being produced before the principal special judge for ACB cases, Hyderabad for judicial custody.
