The body of a bartender who had gone missing was found chopped and stuffed inside a refrigerator at his co-worker’s home in Delhi.

The police had launched a search operation after Vipin Joshi's disappearance was brought to notice on Thursday when his relatives failed to get a response to multiple phone calls, reported Hindustan Times.

The body parts were found inside a refrigerator at his co-worker’s home in Saidulajab, an urban village in south Delhi’s Saket, when police were informed about a foul smell emanating from a house.

The refrigerator was half shut. When police opened the refrigerator to take a look inside, they found large chopped pieces of a man’s body, a report said.

“We found blood-stained clothes and liquor bottles at the spot. A knife too was found, but we still need to establish if it was used in the killing and chopping the body,” said an investigator.

Joshi's co-worker and friend Badal Mandal who has been absconding since the incident is the prime suspect in the case.

Police also said Mandal lived with his wife and two children but had recently sent them back to his hometown in West Bengal. A team has been sent to West Bengal to find him.
