The official page of West Bengal BJP posted a video on Facebook on Monday, titled ' Sabdhan Bangabashi, Pratiniyoto ei rajyo howe utheche jehadider nischinto asroysthol' i.e 'People of Bengal be alert, everyday the state is becoming a hub of jehadis'.
The video alleges that West Bengal is becoming a hub of terrorism, where separatists are trying to create ruckus in a planned way. They are doing anti-national activists, and the state government is silent. Or it can be said, just to get Muslim vote, the government is supporting an agenda to turn the Hindu-majority state into a Muslim-majority one.
It quotes statistics to show Hindu population's percentage has decreased over the years, despite mass scale migration of Hindus from erstwhile East Pakistan. According to BJP, it is a grave national security concern. The video goes on to mention cases like the attack in Kaliachak and the Burdwan blast.
According to the video, illegal practices like counterfeiting money and illegal cow smuggling is rampant in the state. The video claims that in several parts of the state, commoners are being attacked by hardliners and a large number of Hindus are being forced to leave the state. The video shows Mamata's byte to allege that the state government tried to 'cover-up' Dhulagharh incident. It accuses the state government of giving patronage to hardline Muslims by giving them ministership and other lucrative posts.
The video alleges that the government is not cracking down on madrasas, but has stopped several schools funded by Hindu organisations. The video in an oblique way tried to equate the growing percentage of Muslims in the state with rising attack on Hindus and the rise of jehadi elements.

With the RSS gearing up to celebrate Ram Navami in a big way in West Bengal , Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday cautioned people against falling prey to any provocation and asked them to maintain peace.
"Always remember that Rama had killed Ravana because he was evil. We have to kill Ravana who wants to create division among the people and engineer riots," she said at a programme here where she announced Jhargram as the 22nd district of the state. "We believe all are equal. We do not believe in discriminating people on the basis of religion. Let our unity win. Always stay united and never pay heed to any kind of rumour, do not be scared of threats. Maintain peace and harmony.
"If you have faith in me, always remember I never do anything which is against the interest of the people. I am always with the people," she said adding "We will make Bengal the best in the world." At a meeting at Kharagpur yesterday, she had come down heavily on the BJP alleging that it was using the social media to "instigate people and spread lies and rumours." "The BJP only understands the language of riots. They only know how to create tension between the Hindus and the Muslims," she had alleged.
