A BJP worker from Bengal has been arrested for sharing a morphed picture of Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, reports Zee 24 Ghanta. The nabbed BJP worker Babuya Ghosh not only shared a morphed image about these two political leaders on his Facebook wall, but also made disparaging remarks about the Bengal CM.

Babuya Ghosh is resident of Shoula village of West Midnapore district of West Bengal. He is a district level BJP worker and has been seen with several BJP leaders including BJP state President Dilip Ghosh. According to reports, as soon as Babuya shared the objectionable picture, locals complained to police. Police started probe based on the complaint and subsequently, he was arrested. His mobile has been seized by the police. According to reports, Bengal police is looking to crackdown on profiles who share pictures which are in bad taste. Already some of those profiles have been identified, according to report.

Babuya in his Facebook wall had written if a guy doesn't get married on time, he may get mad. But people of West Bengal are now understanding what happens when a girl doesn't get married on time. This comment and the morphed image didn't go down well with locals of the area who lodged a complaint against them.

During Mamata Banerjee's first term, a Jadavpur University professor was arrested for sharing a cartoon mocking Mukul Roy, who was then TMC chief's right hand man. That arrest lead to outrage, and the professor was released subsequently.
