Indira Devi intervened to resolve the matter between her brother, an accused in the case, and Bhanwari, when they got into an argument.

The CBI team probing into the mysterious disappearance of nurse Bhanwari Devi Thursday questioned Congress MLA Malkhan Singh's sister here in connection with the case, officials said.

It is believed that Indira Devi had intervened to resolve the matter between her brother, an accused in the case, and Bhanwari after the two allegedly engaged in heated arguments over some issue a few months back, they said.

The CBI has already quizzed Malkhan's brother Paras Ram Bishnoi, a former Rajasthan PCC, who is currently under judicial custody.

Bhanwari, posted as an auxiliary nurse midwife at a sub-centre in Jaliwada village, about 120 km from here, went missing on September 1 after a CD allegedly showing former Rajasthan minister Mahipal Maderna in a compromising position with her was circulated in the political circle.

Her husband Amarchand has alleged she was abducted at the behest of Maderna, who was sacked after his name cropped up in the case, and his associates.
