Bihar: Here is a list of ministers in Nitish Kumar’s cabinet with portfolios

The holding of number 2, 3 and 4 positions with important portfolios like finance, road construction and health indicates the dominance of RJD, the largest constituent in the alliance government with 80 seats, in the Cabinet.

JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar who was sworn in as Bihar Chief Minister on Friday for a third straight term, kept the home portfolio with him while Lalu Prasad's younger son Tejaswi Yadav was named the Deputy Chief Minister.

The holding of number 2, 3 and 4 positions with important portfolios like finance, road construction and health, indicates the dominance of RJD, the largest constituent in the alliance government with 80 seats in the Cabinet.

JD(U) saw eight new faces in the ministry. Only Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh, Shrawan Kumar and Jay Kumar Singh were members of the outgoing cabinet.

Many prominent faces of the previous ministries like Shyam Rajak, Narendra Narayan Yadav, Leshi Singh and Ranju Geeta could not find a berth in the cabinet this time.

Here is a list of Nitish Kumar's Cabinet Ministers

Nitish Kumar: Home, General Administration, Information & Public Communication

Tejwasi Yadav: Deputy chief minister, and will be in charge of road construction and building construction departments.

Tej Pratap Yadav: He will be number three in the cabinet, and will look after health and environment departments.

Abdul Bari Siddiqui: The senior RJD leader ​has been given the crucial finance portfolio.

Bijendra Prasad Yadav: ​The JD(U) minister who held the finance ministry in the outgoing Nitish's cabinet, will look after the energy department now.

Ashok Choudhary: The State Congress President ​has been allotted the human resources department.

Madan Mohan Jha: The Congress leader has been allotted the revenue portfolio.

Rajiv Ranjan Singh​: JD(U)'s leader has been gieven the water resources department.

Jay Kumar Singh: Industry portfolio.

Manju Varma: This JD(U) woman minister​ has been given charge of the social welfare department.

Vijay Prakash: Labour Resources

Anita Devi: Tourism | Muneshwar Chaudhary: Mining

Chandrasekhar: Disaster Management

Khurshid alias Firoz Ahmad: Sugar Cane Industry

Ramvichar Rai: Agriculture

Santosh Kumar Nirala: SC/ST Development
