Opposition alleged that the government wanted to hush up the CAG report.

Alleging the government wanted to hush up CAG reports on scams including CWG, the BJP Friday created uproar in the Rajya Sabha in protest against copies not being made available even after they were tabled.

Irked over not receiving the copies, senior BJP leader SS Ahluwalia (BJP) said the CAG dealt with scams in the 19th Commonwealth Games, fertiliser subsidy as also functioning of the Indian Coast Guard.

"They are trying to sweep these under the carpet. They are attempting to cover up... scams in Commonwealth and fertiliser subsidy," he said demanding the copies must be provided to the members before 2pm.

Deputy Chairman K Rahman Khan directed the government to ensure the copies of the reports reach the members before 2pm.

The issue could be resolved only after the government assured the members that their demand would be met.

About 10 minutes of the House were lost in the uproar during which Ahluwalia also charged Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Shukla with being "irresponsible".

D Raja (CPI) supported the demand while members from CPI(M) and AIADMK were on their feet demanding the copies.

Earlier, Minister of State for Finance Namo Narayan Meena laid five CAG reports on the table.
