NEW DELHI: The BJP is planning to go the Bollywood way to woo voters ahead of the Delhi assembly polls.
The party is set to launch albums of songs asking for votes modelled on popular Bollywood hits, including those that featured superstars like Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshya Kumar.
Songs with lyrics on the pattern of various Bollywood numbers, including 'Dard-e-Disco' from Shahrukh Khan-starer 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Pardesi-Pardesi Jana Nahi' from Aamir Khan's hit movie 'Raja Hindustani' will soon echo during the campaign of the party.
"As part of our massive campaign strategy, audio cassettes of songs based on the lyrics of Bollywood numbers have been prepared and will be released soon," said Ashok Agrawal, media convener of BJP.
A song has even been composed on the pattern of the latest hit 'Ji Karda' from the film 'Singh is King', Agrawal said adding, "Our main campaign song is prepared on the popular song 'Mast Kalandar' from the film 'Hey Baby', which I think will succeed in attracting voters."
The party has also prepared short films describing the difficulties faced by people due to increasing incidents of terrorism and sky-rocketing inflation, he said.
Apart from voice SMSs on MTNL landlines, party's chief ministerial candidate V K Malhotra has also launched his own website recently to communicate with voters.
