Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh today slammed the ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh and said the saffron party seems to have shunned its basic principles and was now only "placating" personalities.
Addressing a meeting yesterday evening in Chachoda in favour of Congress nominee Shiv Narayan Meena, Singh said, "Right now Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is leading and the BJP is merely following him." The Congress leader also said that the same was true for other BJP Chief Ministers such as Narendra Modi of Gujarat and Raman Singh of Chhattisgarh.
He appealed to Congress party workers in the state to work "only for 20 days" now and his party will take guarantee for next five years.
