RJD chief, Lalu Prasad today alleged that JD(U) and BJP were confusing people by taking different stand on some issues before the assembly elections.
"BJP and JD(U) are trying to confuse the people at the time of elections," Prasad said reacting to JD(U) leader Shivanand Tiwari's demand for reconsidering ties with the BJP in the wake of BJP announcement that Gujarat chief minister, Narendra Modi would canvass in the state.
"Tiwari is the right hand man of chief minister Nitish Kumar, but I have a doubt that Nitish will snap ties with the BJP," he said.
Criticising the five-year rule of Nitish Kumar, Prasad said the Lakhisarai encounter between Police and Maoists was a testimony to the fact that Nitish had brought "maha jungle raj" in Bihar.
He said the state government was an abject failure to handle the hostage crisis. It was only because of media, appeals from all political parties and intellectuals, the Maoists had let off the three policemen.
