Eight months after assuming office, BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda has announced a new team on Saturday. A new team of BJP's national office-bearers has been announced, which gives more opportunities to youth and women from all states. Tejasvi Surya has been made the chief of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, while national general secretary Ram Madhav, P Muralidhar Rao have been replaced with new faces.
This is the first major change for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since JP Nadda became its president.
Major revamps have been made in the team. For the first time ever, BJP will have 12 national vice presidents, with an opportunity for equal participation provided to members from every state.
Moreover, women and youth have been given an opportunity in the new structure, sources had said earlier.

As it can be seen, Bangalore South MP Tejasvi Surya has been elected as the president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the BJP. On the other hand, the party has also replaced National General Secretary Ram Madhav, P Muralidhar Rao, Anil Jain, and Suraj Pandey with new faces.
In the new BJP team, the number of national spokespersons has been increased to 23. Anil Baluni will be the chief national spokesperson and media in-charge of the BJP.

The changes are expected to have political consequences as BJP national president JP Nadda announced the changes ahead of the Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections 2020, which are scheduled to take place later in October-November this year.
Nadda took over as party president in January this year.
He was unanimously elected national president of the party at the culmination of the party`s organisational poll process.
A former Himachal Pradesh minister, Nadda has the organisational experience and became party`s working president in June 2019 after the ruling party swept the Lok Sabha elections.
