Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold a rally here today.
The Gujarat Chief Minister, who would be accompanied by party national president Rajnath Singh, is expected to arrive at the Kolkata Airport at noon from where he will take a chopper ride to the Race Course helipad. Further, he will take a car to the Brigade Grounds.
Modi's rally today will kickstart the BJP's Lok Sabha poll campaign in the state.
Meanwhile, massive security arrangements has been undertaken for the event and Gujarat Police team, along with National Security Guard contingent are reported to be camping in the city.
The city police too are looking after the security and CCTV cameras have been put up at important locations.
