A 'Maha Rally' would be held in state capital Shimla in the month of November and pressure would be built on the chief minister to resign.

BJP would launch a two-month long statewide campaign from October 8 demanding ouster of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh over corruption. The campaign 'Virbhadra hatao, Pradesh bachao' would conclude on October 25.

"Virbhadra Singh has refused to quit on moral grounds after registration of FIR by CBI and subsequent raids and the BJP has now decided to launch a state-wide campaign to reach out to people and first phase of the campaign would start from October 8 and conclude on October 25," chief whip of BJP Legislature Party Suresh Bharadwaj and state BJP general secretary said in a joint statement issued here today.

During the first phase, demonstrations and rallies would be held in all 68 assembly segments while meetings and rallies would be held in all seventeen organisational districts from October 25 to November 15, which would also be addressed by state leaders.

A 'Maha Rally' would be held in state capital Shimla in the month of November and pressure would be built on the chief minister to resign, they added. During the campaign, the 'lies' of Congress would be nailed and corruption in the party would be exposed, they said.

The chief minister was blaming the BJP for wreaking political vendetta and Congress high command had also sided with corruption and as such it was imperative that BJP should reach out to the masses and expose the Congress, the statement said.

The BJP leaders said that the cases against Virbhadra Singh pertained to the period when UPA was in power and the allegation of Chief minister and other congress leaders that he has been framed in false cases by the NDA government was baseless.
