NEW DELHI: The Delhi Government on Friday announced a compensation of Rs 50,000 each to the people seriously injured in the twin blasts which took place in Jama Masjid here.
The compensation will be as per the norms of relief provided for casualties in such incidents, a Delhi Government official told PTI.
This was announced after Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit paid a visit to the blasts site and also LNJP Hospital where the injured were taken.
Dikshit, after visiting the injured, also said that three to four of the injured were from outside Delhi and adequate arrangements will be made for their family members to come and take them back.
According to hospital sources, 13 persons were injured in the blasts.
